Max Arsava is a Berlin based pianist, composer and improviser mainly working within the intersections of contemporary music, free jazz and electroacoustic music with a strong interest in DIY culture, free improvisation, noise rock and other forms of community-oriented experimentalism. In 2018, he co-founded the trio werken with vocalist Sarah Buchner and clarinetist Sebastian Langer; in 2023, the trio presented its debut album kollektive verkabelung. Since 2022 he has been working on the cybernetic extension of prepared piano with composer and sound artist Jascha Hagen. In November 2023 he released his quintet debut nowhere dense via the Berlin-based label Aut Records. He graduated from Hochschule für Musik Würzburg and Hochschule für Musik Weimar, concerts have led him to Austria, Luxembourg, Belgium, Denmark, France, England and the United States.
